A PHOENIX CHRISTMAS

Enjoy a December evening far removed from the hustle and bustle of the season. A Phoenix Christmas offers you a magical, joy-filled evening of traditional carols and heartwarming music, both new and old, presented in the reflective ambiance that makes this concert one of Vancouver’s favourite. Come be moved by the gloriously transparent O Maria Vernans Rosa of Clemens Non Papa, the strikingly original and heartrending portraits of the three kings by Jonathan Dove, the eloquent search for peace in I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day by Canadian composer Mark Sirett, and the sumptuous beauty of Morten Lauridsen’s O magnum mysterium.

Following a long and rewarding tradition of collaboration, the choir will once again be joined by Vancouver’s gifted organist Roy Campbell.
